Champagne vs. Peasants.

Champagne is horribly abused in the Colonies. Your People consider it an extreme Delicacy, there is a Myth that only certain People may buy it, and you treat it as some distant or remote thing suitable only for Weddings or other Celebrations. But, some People do not deserve it. People who hold pedestrian Opinions about the Drink give me the Fear. All the same, it is only Wine. Actually, it isn't necessarily bad that the majority of People consider it out of their respective drinking abilities.

I despise having to know most People. It is inconvenient to an otherwise superfluous and marginal Existence. People require contextual relevance for themselves when it requires consideration of Others. Then, when this is not achieved at an adequate Level, Conversation stops. So, you are sitting at a typical Bar, paying too much for Drinks - and at that Drinks the sort of which you have better quality at Home - for no reason whatsoever, and it hits you... It is inconvenient for the Public to bother you like that, or at all. 

But, one never orders Champagne in a Bar, thus I drink it alone.
