KA and I were talking tonight and I was reminded of one of my most favorite bands: Coheed and Cambria!! For those who may not know, they are are a progressive rock band out of New York; the signer sounds a lot like Giddy Lee of Rush. Lots of technical guitar, harmony, time changes, and delectable beats. Iron Maiden meets Rush meets Queen, sort of...The best part of all this, however comes from the fact that Coheed insists on composing concept albums. Again, for the uninitiated, a concept album is one were each song ought be considered with the others; together it tells a story. Well this band's story is tubular: science fiction with some massive breaking of the 4th wall, come their 3rd album.
Go ahead and youtube this stuff. In the mean time, check out Cobalt and Calcium for details on the story thus far. I could go on about this but it is all really something that ought to be discovered, not imposed upon. Also, I think that it be time to add just one more author to this blog. KA will discuss such and return with a verdict.
